The Story Behind fess

Why I Write About Mental Health

fess started as a private journal — a place to process therapy sessions, untangle anxious thoughts, and name the things I was too afraid to say out loud. Over time, those private scribbles became essays I wanted to share.

I believe that mental health advocacy begins with honest storytelling. When we share our experiences with vulnerability and clarity, we give others permission to do the same. That's the heart of fess: creating a space where difficult conversations feel safe.

Every post on this site is a reflection of real experiences — the breakthroughs and the setbacks, the therapy homework and the small daily victories. My hope is that something here resonates with you, wherever you are on your own journey.

Mission

Breaking Stigma Through Words

Mental health is not a luxury topic — it's a human one. fess exists to normalize conversations about therapy, healing, and the courage it takes to ask for help. One essay at a time.
